Judgement Day

 

The figure’s back is arched, aching and lamenting. A tortured soul is left naked for all to see.

 

To the right, is it God or demon towering over with accusing fingers, (branches) pointing downward? And the river (life) for the rest of the world flows on. We are all judged everyday of

our lives and at the end.

I Look Up At The Moon

 

Encompassing ideal thought and belief manifested in ancient Japanese art and poetry. It is a haiku expressed visually.

 

Originally painted on three panels. Inspiration came to me because bamboo grows along the river. An odd number of fireflies. And gentle clouds with river lines. Who’s looking at the moon? Is it the fireflies, the cricket, or you the viewer?
